It’s important to understand the difference between a ‘look’ and a ‘technique’. Balayage is just a technique, a technique that can create several different looks from subtle and sun☀️kissed to dimensional, high contrast, roots, ombré, etc. Balayage is more organic and creative is bespoke to individual clients needs. Foilage offer far more lift, more control but also more structured (less organic).
I concentrate on my client’s needs and image given to replicate where possible. My clients may ask for Balayage but based on the hair, I may opt for foils instead.
